Chicago's history was built upon the many who have come to call this great city home and their stories have transformed Chicago to what it is today. From the indigenous Tribes who founded this region to those who immigrated into this great city, they have contributed to the hospitality, generosity, and kindness Chicago is so well known for. Our community is grateful for our partners, neighbors and businesses who continue to rise up and lend a helping hand to those in need. For example, efforts are underway at Chicago Public School, John B Murphy Elementary to help welcome the many asylum seekers and ensure their needs are met to survive Chicago's harsh winter.
